We disassembled a bunch of compasses from many manufacturers searching for something basic. We found what we were looking for in the Plastimo line; Big cards, easy to read #s, small deck hole, short below deck depth, minimal width with maximum card diameter...Both compasses shown have 5 3/8" cards are well dampened and easy to read..
