Description:
By request from Joe Waters here we go with what most of us are running on Lake Lanier (or some similar varation of it). First attach a low beam traveler track to your current traveler cross bar. Tedious work, as you have screw through the existing bar. Thank goodness for Dennis Slaton as he helped me with mine. Next you will need to put the harken small boat travler car onto the track and then drill 2 more holes for the two end caps. This kit does not include the block that goes on the car. Your current setup should have a removable block. Next mount the two upright bullet lead blocks either on the seat back or the transom of the boat on both sides. Then again pending on where you want the placement of the line, mount the two cheek blocks to turn the line up. Above that you will need to mount the two Harken 150's with the fairleads that are included. All you have left is to run the line. We tie the dead end of the line to the backstay tang and then through the traveler, upright bullet block, cheek block, then 150. We use to run a continious line but recently after sailing Winn Story's boat I learned that it was more efficient to have two seperate lines on each side of the boat. I hope this helps.....Justin
