Description:
From the "active" mind of Steve Lopez. Faster tacking, and better sheet control while cross sheeting. Imagine: your crew is standing over trimming as fast as possible. With each pull the sheet cleats. As it loads up he uses his legs for a last grunt. Then he scrambles to the weather rail with cleated sheet in hand, takes his place, applies two winch wraps, and tails as the helm trims with the winch. Once the winch takes over the sheet is pulled out of the cleat. Ready to tack? Just blow the sheet from the winch and rip.
The angle of the cleat, and the special spring and spring holder keep the sheet from accidentally recleating. Harken version uses Carbo Ratchamatic new load sensing block.
Lewmar's version uses 60mm Ratchet blocks.
For 5/16" line use.
